Do I Get Freeview on Amazon Fire Stick
Currently, Freeview is not available for Amazon Firestick yet neither for the UK, NZ nor Australia. It is because they haven’t built a version for FireTV yet. However, it can be still downloaded from Google Play Store on Android Phones or TVs and even on Apple Store for iOS devices including Apple TV.
But until I am here you don’t need to worry about it anymore since I manage to find a way to install Freeview on Firestick within a few minutes. This method is known as the sideloading or installing of 3rd-party applications by jailbreaking our device.
Perhaps you should keep in mind that this app isn’t built for FireTV yet which means you cannot use it with a remote. In this way, you should rather use a FireTV Remote application or simply use the Mouse Toggle app to watch any live TV channel from the list.

How To Install Freeview on Firestick/FireTV

Also, as I told you earlier that this app is not available on Amazon Store which means we need to sideload this app. And for this, the first thing that is required is to jailbreak and if you haven’t done yet then make sure to follow this guide:
After you complete jailbreaking your FireTV now we need to download the Downloader application. It is the best and only free app available that is used to install 3rd-party apps. Before that ES File Explorer was used too much but after some time they just disable this feature and make it premium.
This is the reason why we are using Downloader instead of ES File Explorer but in case you already have a premium version then I would recommend checking another guide.
Ok, so let’s follow the given below steps to download Downloader and install Freeview on Firestick 4K:
Close all apps and open Home Screen and from there hover to the above menu and select the Search or Magnifying glass icon.
Now you need to use the keyboard and type Downloader there and below you will see some results so click on Downloader.
From the next screen, you will see various apps related to your search term so simply click on the first app having an Orange background (as shown in the screenshot below).
Once you click on it you just need to select the Download (You Own it) button from the next screen.
After this just wait for a while until the app is downloaded and once it is installed click Open to launch it.
Launching Downloader for the first time will require some permission to access Photos, Files and Media so when it asks just select Allow.
After allowing permission you will then notice a Quick Tour Guide appears there just ignore it and select Got it to dismiss that notification.
At this time you will notice a simple box having HTTP:// prefix so hover over it and then press the select button to launch the keyboard there.
Now using that keyboard type https://tvexpertguide.com/freeview.apk and then select the Go button.
The downloader will try to connect to the server and after this, your app will start downloading.
Once the app is downloading it will open an installation window on your screen so now click on the Install button.
Just wait for a while until the app is installed and once it is completed click on the Done button.
When you click Done you will see the Downloader app having a window with three different options so simply click on the Delete button.
You will then again ask for the confirmation so again click on the Delete button to remove the backup file.
Now the Freeview App has been installed successfully on our Firestick device and you can easily use it by going to Your Apps & Channels > See All. or pressing the remote home button for 5 seconds and then clicking on Apps
It will then show the list of installed applications just scroll down and then hover over the Freeview icon and press select to launch it.
In case if you are living outside the UK, NZ, or Australia you need to first connect to the VPN and once it is done you will be asked to type your postcode. You can easily find the postal code of countries by searching it on Google and entering it in your app.
Other than this you might not be able to enter the postcode because of the incompatibility of Remote then make sure to first download and install the Mouse Toggle app. Once everything is done you can use this app normally and watch various live channels free of cost.
Sideload Freeview on Firestick using ES File

However, if you don’t have a premium app and you are using the free version then skip this section and read the above guide instead. As sideloading of 3rd-party apps is now a premium feature that won’t work on a free version now.
Ok, so follow the below steps to sideload Freeview on Firestick using the ES File Manager app:
- Launch ES File Explorer on FireTV and from the Home Screen hover to the left panel.
- Now scroll down and then select Tools to expand its content.
- After this select Download Manager from the list.
- At this time move to the right-hand side and click on the + sign.
- It will open a new window now type https://tvexpertguide.com/freeview.apk in the above section and leave the second.
- Now simply click on the Download Now button and your app will start downloading.
- Just wait for a while until the app is downloaded and then click on Open File.
- After this from the next screen click on Install App.
- This will launch the installation window now select the Install button from below.
- Now wait for a few seconds and when you see App Installed just click on Open to launch it.
